3 phase 21kw and 25kW outdoor units specific to certain ducted and add-on cooling Braemar airconditioners.
Sold nationally by various distributors between 14 October 2016 until 28 March 2018.

Identifying features

The models SCHF21C3S and SCHF25C3S with the following batch numbers:

• 16HxxxxAKC, (where xxxx can be numbers from 0001 – 0010 and 0017-0032)
• 16IxxxxAKC, (where xxxx can be numbers from 0001 – 0016 and 0033-0057).

What are the defects?

The power factor correction capacitors fitted in the affected batches may fail.

What are the hazards?

Risk of fire in the outdoor unit.
