What are the defects?
Due to a software error, the electric power steering may become unavailable sporadically.

If this occurs, greater force will then be required to turn the steering wheel. Power steering will be fully available again after switching the ignition off and on again.

What are the hazards?
A potential for increased steering efforts exists which may result in reduced steering control. This may pose an increased risk of accident or injury to vehicle occupants or other road users.

What should consumers do?
Affected customers will be contacted by mail or can contact their nearest Porsche dealer to arrange an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
