Product description
This recall only involves attachment kits that were sold without the operator's manual. The attachment kits are used to attach John Deere snow blowers & 52-inch brooms to John Deere 1023E, 1025R and 2025R compact utility tractors. The attachment kits are sold as separate items.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no defect with the snow blowers, 52-inch brooms or compact utility tractors. Attachment kits that were sold with the operator’s manual are also not included in this recall.
Hazard identified
Some of the attachment kits are missing the operator's manual.The operator's manual describes how to attach and safely operate the snow blowers and 52 inch brooms. Not following the operator's manual can result in important safety information being missed, posing an injury hazard.
As of January 17, 2019, John Deere Canada ULC has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Approximately 324 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from August 2017 to November 2018.

What you should do
Consumers that are missing the snow blower or broom operator's manual should immediately stop using their snow blower or broom and contact an authorized John Deere dealer for an operator's manual.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
