What are the defects?
A premature wheel bearing failure occurred where Liplex Plus EP 2 was the grease used in the wheel hub assembly. Caltex is investigating the wheel bearing failure to ascertain its cause.

What are the hazards?
Insufficient level of grease within the wheel hub assembly may lead to wheel bearing failure that could result in the wheel suddenly seizing, bringing the vehicle or trailer to a halt. This has the potential to result in an accident.

What should consumers do?
Caltex will directly contact all known customers.
Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The battery compartment is not secure.

What are the defects?

The battery compartment is not adequately secured and the button batteries in the product 

are easily accessible.

What are the hazards?

If young children gain access to the button batteries and ingest them, they may suffer 

internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness and even death. In addition, 

the batteries may pose a choking hazard to young children.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should immediately remove the batteries and ensure these are adequately 

secured out of reach of children. Stop using the product and return it to Officeworks for a full refund.
